  2. About

From the lab
to the flight deck.

Human performance is our subject. Aviation is our field.

Everything starts with one person.

Not an aircraft, not a procedure. A pilot, an instructor, a technician, and what they actually do.

2003

We learn to measure what they actually do.

The Neuroergonomics Laboratory of ISAE-SUPAERO studies how pilots learn, decide and react: eye movements, workload, behaviour under pressure.

Research partnerISAE-SUPAERO

2017

Five founders take it out of the laboratory.

Three researchers from the laboratory, Frédéric Dehais, Sébastien Scannella and Vsevolod Peysakhovich, and two ISAE-SUPAERO alumni, Thomas Bessiere and Thibault Vandebrouck, found Hinfact to bring that measurement to the people who train and fly. In 2018, the project receives the Jean-Louis Gerondeau – Zodiac Aerospace Award.

2021

One person becomes a crew.

First major customers in civil and military aviation. Solutions industrialised, approved by the authorities, flown every day.

2023

A crew becomes a fleet.

Hinfact raises €4M and extends to cabin crew, maintenance and ground personnel. Every role, the same method.

Today

A fleet becomes an industry.

Airlines, flight schools, training centres, manufacturers and defence, across four continents, built on more than 25 years of research.

Tomorrow

Behind every number, a person.

Every flight, every session, every operational experience can contribute to a better understanding of human performance, and come back to the one who lived it.

What we believe

01

Human performance is aviation’s next frontier.

The great advances of recent decades came from the machine. The next ones will come from understanding the people who make it work.

02

Reality should shape training.

What actually happens in flight, in the hangar, in the cabin and in the simulator should decide what is taught next.

03

No experience should be wasted.

Every working day in aviation produces experience. It should feed each person’s progression, and what each organisation teaches and corrects.

04

Data only matters when it helps people.

We don’t sell data, we sell understanding. We collect what is needed, not what is possible, and never use it against those who produced it.

05

Technology should strengthen human judgment, never replace it.

Instructors, pilots, technicians and safety managers judge and decide. Our tools show, suggest and alert. They never grade in the instructor’s place.
